A WARNING: This music sucks. Well, most of it does. It's poorly composed, poorly orchestrated, and old. If I had any sizable amount of new stuff, I'd upload it here and replace this nonsense. Sadly, I don't.
Music made in Melody Assistant
- Cookie of Inspiration - a collaboration with my good friend Ryan Parker, using the music from Spaceship of Inspiration and Mr. Parker's lyrics and vocals. Enjoy.
- Eurydice's Jazz - a short jazzy loop made for a contest honoring Eurydice, a staff member on Puzzle Pirates. It was one of the first prize winners!
- EVIL Newbietown - a dark remix of the Newbietown music. Figure out where it would go in an RPG.
- Forest, The - a short song which can easily be made to loop. Fits in as the "oooh, spooky forest" music one would find in an RPG.
- Four Wizards - my most recent piece. Why Four Wizards? Beats me.
- Newbietown - a short happy loop that would fit in the "starting village" of an RPG. You know, before it gets destroyed by the evil overlord in his quest to destroy the world which only a young teenager and his/her companions can stop.
- Run, Forest, Run - a short piece created as the background music for FRC Team 1732's 2007 animation, which won at the Midwest Regional. You can view the video on the team's website.
- Skeletal Rock - a rockin' techno song based (loosely) on that Funeral Dirge everyone knows.
- Spaceship of Inspiration - a short piece made as the background for FRC Team 1732's 2006 animation. Didn't win any awards, but was entirely written and processed in one (frantic) night.
- Time for Action - more RPG style music! Would kick in around the pep talk, "come on guys! We have to go defeat the evil overlord and save the world! No time for feeling inadequate!" moment.
- Virtual Pirate - a short song featuring the most postproduction of any song of mine so far. Was originally written to soundtrack a fan-made commercial for Puzzle Pirates. I never got the commercial done, though, so all you get is the music.
Music made in GarageBand
- HyperSpy - one of the first real creative projects I did in GarageBand. A selection of built-in loops combined with loops I wrote myself, plus a pretty cool melody and other neat stuff.
- Pie is Tasty - all GarageBand loops, all the time. The song is composed strictly of GarageBand loops that come standard with the program, unmodified except for looping or cutting. Also, filters have been applied to the tracks in order to make them more awesome.
Other Music
- 3bored (v1) - the first version of a piece I created to accompany a video game a friend of mine made. He rejected it. I can't imagine why.
- 3bored (v2) - my second shot at an accompanying piece, this time taking a more retro vibe. The noble warrior, armed with only two square waves and his wits. It loops! (It should be noted that the game has no music at all. This is because JavaScript's sound support sucks pretty bad, apparently.)
- Concrete Jungle/The Only Way To Be Sure - an experiment in the realm of musique concrete. Not exactly easy listening.
- Hood Voltage - my first attempt at a mashup, DMX vs. Linkin Park. Could use some polishing up (synchronizing the vocals near the end, an unwanted outburst from Mike Shinoda, etc.) but all in all not too bad. Lyrics NSFW (extremely).
